COPERONYX® was faced with a challenge whose main goal was to renovate two adjacent, but physically separated, spaces to create a contemporary, cosy and bespoke living room in a single-family house.

The geometry of the space, the house’s sun exposure, the lack of natural light, and the fact that there was an adjoining space without any physical connection led COPERONYX®, in view of the existing potential and taking into account the areas in question, to think about the project as a whole. So, in terms of interior architecture, the project aimed at creating a unique space, maximising areas and functions and bringing light into the room.

The identity of the project is based on a Chic Design concept and, therefore, the interior architecture project was ambitious, focusing on a careful choice of materials and details to translate a concept of contemporary and rich architecture.

So, first of all, we built a structural, fair-faced reinforced concrete wall finished with a varnish sealant layer. In addition, we created two floor-to-ceiling openings, one on each side, equipped with double-glazed aluminium sliding doors, with thermal break, which brought light into the room and allowed accessing the surrounding outdoor areas. Finally, we ensured a connection between the two adjoining spaces.

The bar area is a COPERONYX® bespoke design, whose creation was based on a careful choice of sophisticated materials, namely backlit white onyx, combined with black marble and a few decorative copper details designed exclusively for this project.

We should also highlight the control of the light and privacy of the room, ensured by motorized screen roller blinds recessed into the ceiling.

The richness and variety of the materials, the bespoke furniture, the colour palette, the quality of the fabrics and the overall layout added character and depth to the project, a winning formula and strategy to make the most of the space.
